Our Story
Nashville, TN · Founded 2024
Running a high-volume retail photography studio is a logistical challenge that most booking software simply wasn't built for. We're not talking about one photographer with a calendar app. We're talking about dozens of sessions a day, families checking in on-site, staff coordinating across multiple locations, and photo delivery happening the same day.
The tools that existed were either too generic, too expensive, or required stitching together five different platforms — a booking tool here, a gallery platform there, a separate SMS service, a spreadsheet for everything else.
Micah Robinson started in retail photography with a growing Santa Claus photography operation in Nashville. Every peak season revealed new cracks in the process. Families would forget their appointment time. Check-in lines would back up. Photo delivery took days when it should take hours. Upsell revenue was being left on the table.
After trying every available tool — and building custom workarounds for all of them — the only real answer was to build the right system from scratch. SessionBook was that system.
SessionBook is a complete operating platform for retail photography studios. It handles the entire guest experience from the moment they book online to the moment they download a photo on their phone — with everything in between automated, branded, and running without constant staff intervention.
Every feature exists because a real studio needed it. The kiosk check-in flow, the instant gallery delivery, the automated SMS reminders, the on-site product catalog — all of it came from solving real problems in a real studio.
We believe every family deserves a seamless experience when they come in for their photos, and every studio owner deserves software that actually matches the pace and scale of their business. SessionBook exists to make both of those things possible.
